For the last twenty-four years, the Federal Community Defender Office has been proud to host an Orientation Program for new CJA Panel members. This year's New CJA Attorney Orientation Program will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Federal Community Defender Office. The program will feature a variety of topics, and provide an overview of: (1) Magistrate Judges' CJA appointment procedures; (2) how to process and receive payment for CJA vouchers; (3) how to procure expert services; and (4) sentencing guidelines and trial procedures. Coffee and light breakfast will be served. The Orientation Program has been approved for 1.5 hours of substantive PA CLE credit. The cost is $2.00 for 1 hour of credit, or $4.00 for 1.5 hours. CLE forms will be distributed at the program, and checks should be made payable to the Federal Defender Office. You may RSVP to Kimberly Campoli via email at kimberly_campoli@fd.org.
