Christy Martin is an Assistant Federal Defender in the Appeals Unit of the Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Martin began with the Defender Office in 1997 as a Research and Writing Attorney in the Trial Unit, and moved to the Appeals Unit in 2008. From 2013 to 2014, she served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Montgomery County Public Defender Office. In 2014, she returned to the Appeals Unit of the Federal Community Defender. Ms. Martin is an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. Ms. Martin graduated from Kutztown University in 1994 and received her J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1997.
