Ms. Henry has spent the majority of her career as a public defender, first as an Assistant Defender in Philadelphia for five years and, since 2002, as an Assistant Federal Defender with the Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In 2008, Ms. Henry was appointed as the Trial Unit’s Senior Litigator. In this capacity, she oversees and counsels Assistant Federal Defenders in preparing and handling jury trials in federal court while maintaining an active caseload. She is currently a Professor of Trial Advocacy at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Ms. Henry has been an adjunct professor in the Temple University School of Law Masters in Trial Advocacy Program and lectures frequently on trial tactics, courtroom technology and in various CLE programs and seminars. Ms. Henry graduated from Drew University in 1991 and received her J.D. from the District of Columbia School of Law in 1995. She is a member of the Maryland and Pennsylvania bars. In recognition of her trial skills, Ms. Henry was inducted as a Fellow in the America College of Trial Lawyers in 2018.
