Ms. Pedraza joined the Federal Community Defender Office in January 2013 and is an Assistant Federal Defender in the Trial Unit. She is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Geneseo (B.A. 1997) and Hofstra University School of Law (J.D. 2000). She served as a law clerk in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Staff Attorney's Office from 2000 to 2002. Following her clerkship, Ms. Pedraza became a Staff Attorney in the Manhattan Office of the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society, where she worked until 2004. She then worked in private practice at a firm specializing criminal defense from 2005 to 2010. She joined the State of New Jersey Office of the Public Defender as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender until 2013. Ms. Pedraza is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She currently carries a caseload of both federal criminal cases and federal capital cases.
