The Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania is celebrating the exoneration of its client, Curtis Crosland. Mr. Crosland’s habeas petition was granted on June 23, and all charges against him were dropped on June 24. He returned to Philadelphia that evening after spending 34 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Scores of family members and friends welcomed him when he arrived at his sister’s home in West Philadelphia. In this video, Mr. Crosland and his supporters reflect on his release, and Mr. Crosland celebrates with his lawyers from the Federal Community Defender Office.
