Eric Montroy
Director of Training
Eric Montroy is the Capital Habeas Unit Training Supervisor. Mr. Montroy represents clients in capital post-conviction proceedings in state and federal courts in jurisdictions across the country. He has been an Assistant Federal Defender at the Capital Habeas Unit in Philadelphia since 2007, where he has been running the training program since 2016. Mr. Montroy has presented trainings at several national conferences on topics related to capital post-conviction litigation.
Prior to joining the Federal Defender, Mr. Montroy was a public defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, where he represented clients in the Major Trials Division. Mr. Monroy is from Buffalo, NY and is a graduate of Fordham Law School and Fordham College.
