Jeremy Isard

Assistant Federal Defender

Jeremy Isard is a trial attorney at the Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He previously served as an Assistant Defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, where he defended Philadelphians accused of major crimes, including attempted murder, carjacking, firearm offenses, robbery, burglary, and drug trafficking. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, Jeremy clerked for Judge Jane Branstetter Stranch on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and for Judge Catherine C. Blake on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. At Berkeley, he was an Articles Editor for the California Law Review and represented capital defendants in the Death Penalty Clinic. He interned for then-Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. Jeremy began his career in public defense before law school as an Investigator at the Bronx Defenders and a Capital Mitigation Specialist. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University.
